In ASAERP, a "Warehouse" is a fundamental component used to manage the storage and movement of items and products within your organization. A warehouse is a physical or virtual location where your company stores and manages its inventory.
Creating a warehouse in ASAERP is a straightforward process. Warehouses are essential for managing inventory and tracking stock movements. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to create a warehouse in ASAERP:
Step 1: Access ASAERP
Log in to your ASAERP account using your username and password.
Step 2: Navigate to the Warehouse Module
In the ASAERP dashboard, on the left sidebar, click on "Modules" to expand it.
From the expanded menu, select "Stock."
Under the "Stock" module, you'll find "Warehouse." Click on "Warehouse" to access the warehouse creation page.
Step 3: Create a New Warehouse
In the Warehouse List, click the "New" button to create a new warehouse.
Step 4: Fill in Warehouse Details
You'll now be on the warehouse creation page. Here's what you need to fill in:
Warehouse Name: Enter a unique name for the warehouse. This name is used to identify the warehouse in transactions.
Warehouse Type: Select the type of warehouse. Common options include "Stores," "Finished Goods," "Raw Material," etc. Choose the type that best represents the purpose of this warehouse.
Company: If your organization has multiple companies, select the company for which this warehouse is applicable. If not, it will default to your primary company.
Is Subcontracted: Check this box if the warehouse is subcontracted. Subcontracted warehouses are typically used for temporary storage or processing.
Is a Transshipment Warehouse: Check this box if the warehouse is used for transshipment, which involves transferring goods from one transportation vehicle to another.
Is a Retail Outlet: Check this box if the warehouse is a retail outlet where customers can directly purchase items.
Is a POS (Point of Sale) Warehouse: Check this box if the warehouse is used for point-of-sale transactions.
Is a Scrap Yard: Check this box if the warehouse is used for storing scrap materials.
Is a Rejected Goods Warehouse: Check this box if the warehouse is used for storing rejected or defective goods.
Is a Default Target Warehouse: Check this box if this warehouse is the default destination for incoming goods.
Is a Default Source Warehouse: Check this box if this warehouse is the default source for outgoing goods.
Allow Negative Stock: Check this box if you want to allow negative stock levels in this warehouse.
After filling in the required details, click the "Save" button.
Step 5: Additional Warehouse Settings (Optional)
You can further customize the warehouse by adding additional information, such as address details, contact information, and location information. Click on the "More" button at the top right corner of the warehouse creation page to access these settings.
Step 6: Save the Warehouse
After configuring any additional settings, click the "Save" button again to save the warehouse with all the details.
Step 7: Warehouse Created
Congratulations! You've successfully created a warehouse in ASAERP. You can now use this warehouse to manage your inventory and track stock movements.
