Territory
Territory management in ASAERP is a feature that allows you to categorize and organize your customers, leads, and salespeople based on geographical or other criteria. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to set up territories in ASAERP:
Access ASAERP: Log in to your ASAERP account with the necessary permissions to manage territories.
Go to the Territory Module:
In the left sidebar, click on the "Selling" module.
Under the "Customers" section, you'll find the "Territory" option. Click on it.
Create a New Territory:
To create a new territory, click the "+ New" button.
Define Territory Details:
In the "Territory" form, enter the following details:
Territory Name: Give your territory a descriptive name.
Parent Territory: If this territory is a sub-territory of another, you can select the parent territory here.
Abbreviation: Optionally, you can enter an abbreviation for the territory.
Territory Type: Specify whether this territory represents a country, state, city, or any other geographical entity.
Description: Add any additional information or notes about the territory.
Save the Territory:
After entering the required information, click the "Save" button to create the territory.
Define Territory Hierarchy (if applicable):
If you have nested territories (e.g., continent > country > state > city), you can create a hierarchy by setting the parent territory for each sub-territory. Repeat the steps for each level in the hierarchy.
Assign Territories:
Now that you've created territories, you can assign them to customers or leads. Open a customer or lead record, and in the "Territory" field, select the appropriate territory.
View and Manage Territories:
You can view and manage your territories by going to the "Territory" list in the "Selling" module. Here, you can search, filter, and edit existing territories as needed.
Reporting and Analysis:
Use the territory information for reporting and analysis. You can generate reports based on territories to track sales performance, customer distribution, and more.
Updating Territories:
If the territorial boundaries change or you need to update territory information, simply go to the respective territory record and make the necessary changes.
That's it! You've successfully set up territories in ASAERP. This feature can help you organize and manage your sales and customer data more effectively, especially if your business operates in different geographic regions.
